Kurdish Canadian Remember Qassemlou And Appeal For Justice, Austria

July 25, 2005

On July 13th more than hundreds of Kurdish protesters gathered in front of Austrians Embassy to pay tribute and respect for the 16th anniversary of Dr. Qassemlou the then secretary general of democratic party of Iranian Kurdistan who was brutally assassinated by the diplomat-terrorists of Iranian Islamic regime who attended a secret meeting with qassemlou to find a solution for the Kurdish cause in Iran.

The demonstration started with the Kurdish national anthem Ay raqeeb( you Rival) and a minute silence as a respect for Qaseemlou and all the kurds martyrs. Then Sharif Behruz PDKI’s director of relations read the English message.

Mr sheriff critically criticized Austrian government for not taking necessary actions in prosecuting and bringing the criminals to justice. Mr sharif made appeal to the Austrian government to let the judiciary system act independently on the case and allow the real justice to be enforced. Mr sharif presented the message on behalf of demonstrators to the Austrian’s embassy in the hope of cooperation from Austrian’s government. It is worth mentioning that the newly Iranian president has been named as one of the key elements in the assassination of Dr Qassemlou and his colleagues.

The credibility of the accusation is confirmed by an Iranian journalist who has escaped from Iran some months ago, it is being beloved that the journalist has attained the exact and documents from a high Iranian revolutionary guard who has directly involved in Qassemlou’s murder.

The journalist provided the information and evidences to the Austrians prosecution office, who promised to conduct an investigation. Demonstrators also had a Kurdish message which was read by shoresh palani, Ottawa PDKI member.

Then demonstrators chanted slogans in favor of freedom, democracy and justice and condemned the terrorism face of iranin regime and Mahmood ahmadinejad the Iranian new president. There were chants of (we want justice, we want justice) ( Down Down Terrorist) ( Qassemlou’s case must be opened) ( Iranian president is a terrorist) ( Austria open 1989 murder case).

The way Kurdish demonstrators protested was according to the Canadian principals and regulations and never allowed any outlawed action. RCMP expressed their happiness and promised to cooperate with Kurdish people for any event, because Kurdish demonstrators proved that they are peace loving nation. At the end Sayeed Golbakhi warmly thanked the protesters, especially who travlled from London, St Catharine’s, Toronto and also expressed his gratitude to the Canadian government and police for their support in organizing such a peaceful event.
