A response to the "Kurdish Choices" Petition

The petition asks: "What do Kurds want?".

Clearly, the choice must be Independence for Kurds of South Kurdistan, virtually there since 1992,

and hopefully the other 3 parts as their struggle for freedom and Independence or full autonomy

appears to be a slow process. The Kurds have always had the natural right for Independence, and

have always been sovereign with or without usurpers’ Tyrannical occupation, and if our enemies

open their eyes, and read the recent Kurdish history; they'll learn about Kurds ongoing wars in each

part to achieve this vital quest to secure their nation from constant persecution by usurpers.

Today one out of the 4 unjustly partitioned nation of Kurdistan is free al last, and it has been

virtually Independent since 1991 creation of the no-fly zone above the 36 parallel though the rest,

including Kirkuk, below the 36 parallel passed Kurdish city of Khanqin to the South are also a part

of South Kurdistan, and awaits the delayed Reversal of the ethnic cleansing in Kirkuk Province

under article 140, signed by Arabs, and Kurds to be completed. The lack of cooperation to Reverse

the ethnic cleansing by the Shia Arab PM prior to Nuri al-Maliki, and even now, has only strengthen

Kurdish Kirkuk position, and either way those areas, which remained in Saddam's ongoing Arabization

under the 36 parallel, is, and will always be a part of South Kurdistan, and there is no turning back.

What needs to be done; is to complete the Reversal of those abhorrent ethnic cleansing, and help

the return of all displaced Kurds to their home as quickly as possible, and with no more excuses/delays.

While today Kurdistan has been forced to have boundaries between its 4 parts only by the 4 usurpers’

account, but indeed the greater Kurdistan in General as one or each part as it is the case with South

Kurdistan in particular now, all other 3 parts also must be Independent for the following reasons,

looking back in Kurdish history since 1920s till now:

[Please note; that this will either result in 3 other independent Kurdish states, 4 in total, or perhaps

one Kurdistan over the course of time, inevitable to happen.]

1- Today, December 21, 2006, there are over 50 million Kurds in Kurdistan.
The Kurds were in a Sovereign nation state or in today’s terminology ‘Independent’ until the end of

19th Century or the key turning point early in 20th century of the year 1920; when KURDISTAN was

unjustly partitioned by Great Britain & France in their land grabbing international thievery practice

known as ‘Colonialism’, primarily for its oil wealth and strategic importance. They were assisted by

the League of Nations, which did not adhere to its commitments fully execute the ‘Treaty of Serves’

in helping to establish an independent Kurdistan, an Independent Azerbaijan, and an independent

Armenia, while it successfully helped the rest of about a dozen of other nations to become

independent such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, and others, but also the artificially drawn

up ‘IRAQ’, which forced Kurds, and Arabs become the citizens of one country against their entire

national desire. This created unwanted wars for independence between Kurds & Arabs, which has

lasted for 85 years or since 1920s against their wishes, and imposed on them by Baghdad‘s puppet

regimes, refusing to correct the dilemma. Turkey, Iran, and Syria have also refused to leave

occupied Kurdish Territories.

2- Today, after more than 80 years of stealing Kurdish oil by ‘British Petroleum oil company’ as

the main agent to do so as they have done in Basra, and some other oil rich nations as well,

it appears; that British-France venture in their crimes against humanity has finally been exposed

though the information is coming out in pieces, but there are sufficient world knowledge about

what they did to the Kurds to steal their oil, and it is just a matter of time before the world

community issue their mutually similar subpoenas to bring the two to international Courts of

Justice, pay, and admit to their biggest frenzy of crimes against humanity not seen in history,

and against Kurds in particular under their Franco-Britain predecessor regimes.

3- Today, there are 22 Arab States, 6 Turkic States, and 3 Persian States.
Today, except South Kurdistan; there are 3 other pieces of one Kurdistan, which would perhaps

take years to Liberate, but each usurped piece in Turkey, Iran, and Syria has had their own

struggle for mere survival in the hands of a frenzy of usurpers united in their land grabbing, and

occupations of each Kurdistan, while Kurds have had no real means of defending themselves

against unprovoked attacks from Ankara, Tehran, Baghdad, and Damascus, while these usurpers

have received foreign aids, international support, military & economic support, normal developments

in their non-Kurdish provinces, which would have not been possible without Diplomatic relations

with more than 150 other independent states. All this courtesy of the United Nations since 1945,

and before UN, the League of Nations since 1920, leaving nation of Kurds stateless, and occupied.

4- While we all owe it to the bravery of U.S. President George Walker Bush for his decisive decision

to Liberate the artificially made Iraq at least from the deadly grip of its last Tyrant ‘Saddam‘, but

this move was also supported by British PM Tony Blair in an unconventional move never before

taken by his predecessors; we are yet to push for the Reversal of 1920s imposed boundaries for

Kurdistan, and in particular South Kurdistan, and free the Tyrannical grips of the 1920s Iraq

creation, which must give way to the Independent South Kurdistan state. The Kurds have abundantly

made it clear; that they are not Iraqis, do not wish to live attached to Arabs or other invading nations,

and remain targets of Genocide, mass killings, torture, imprisonments, oppression, and persecutions

already proven to be non-stop in their occurrences or re-occurrences into the future. The Kurds simply

want to have their own independent state like other states, some as small as several thousands.

5- The Kurds of South Kurdistan have been virtually Independent since 1992, and presently have

established their rights to the ethnic cleansing targeted cities of Kirkuk, Mosul, and many other

Kurdish cities/towns/villages of South Kurdistan under the present Iraq constitution, promulgated

in its article 140 or the old article 58 under the previous interim Government.
