Headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards in Salmas city
controlled by PJAK forces: 10 Iranian Revolutionary Guards killed
January 26, 2008
Military dispatch:
On January 23, 2008, the PJAK People Defense Forces lunched a successful
military attack on the Iranian Revolutionary Guards headquarters in the heart of
Salmas city (north west of Iran).
This attack carried out by PJAK People Defense Forces in retaliation to avenge
the Iranian authorities execution of PJAK member Hesen Hikmat Demirm in Khoy
city on January 6, the killing of three Kurdish youth by the Iranian security
forces in the villages of Gozeresh, Dilezi and Otonaus, and the murder by
torture of the Kurdish student activist Ebrahim Lotfollahi in Sanandaj prison on
January 15.
The PJAK forces controlled the Revolutionary Guards headquarters for more than
one half-hour. During the operation three Iranian military vehicles were
destroyed, 10 revolutionary guards were killed and many others wounded.
We warn the Iranian Islamic government to stop its oppressive fascist policies
against the Kurdish and Iranian people.
We will continue our struggle for the Kurdish and Iranian peoples’ rights to
live in peace and dignity in a free democratic society, to change the Iranian
Islamic regime and to establish a Democratic Confederation of Iran.
Long live the just struggle of the people of Kurdistan and Iran.
