Monitoring The
Developments in Kurdistan.

I am a consultant and have visited the Kurdistan region many times and find
this situation is really getting out of hand.
We know that history has shown that Turkey and Iran are totally against the
Kurdish people and certainly do not want to see Kurdistan develop into a country
under its own name. They fear this happening as they know that their own vast
population of Kurds will also one day seek the same.
They also know that oil is at the centre of these disputes as the oil
reserves are within Kurdistan boundaries . It is also interesting to note that
other huge reserves in Syria, Turkey and Iran were once part of the original
Kurdistan and those reserves were stolen along with there land.
Now we have another very difficult situation developing......Turkey on one side
is part of Nato and therefore allies of the US and on the other side you have
Iran who are now jointly sharing a security agreement with the Turks. The United
States is anti Iranian but as we all know they can change their hats at anytime.
It is deplorable that the US Military are cooperating with the above in
providing US Military Spy Satellite information and the Kurds have to realise
that nothing is hidden from these eyes in the sky. Every single move by their
freedom fighter will be monitored, even down to one person and what he his
carrying...almost to a point of being able to see his face. I ask the Kurdish
people to be very careful as even moving in darkness is not a problem for Infa-Red
eyes.
I hope that PJAK will now follow up with the European Union and make sure that
they are not labelled as terrorist and that their cause is legitimate and a just
cause all and in the name of freedom. As you know the PKK have now been relisted
by the EU.....it is regrettable that the United States does not agree........but
then again who do they agree with?
Again I ask the Kurdish people to take their case to the United Nations at the
first available opportunity and to stop these incursions by both the Turks and
also any future Iranian. This includes both by ground forces and any airborne
assaults. This is in violation of Iraqi/Kurdish sovereignty and can be stopped.
Obviously this can be squashed by the US within the UN Security Council under
their power of Veto but you can at least try and then you will see the true
colours of your opponents.
Again I stress the double standards of such people as the US Government and the
Turkish Government who have significant contracts within Kurdistan in areas such
as Major Construction, Airports Development, Security, Universities
etc......Turkey alone has achieved the following:
UNHCR Reports: Economic ties between Turkey and Northern Iraq
have boomed. In April 2007, annual bilateral trade grew to around $5 billion,
and Turkish contractors were believed to have secured $2 billion worth of
contracts in northern Iraq. A total of 1,200 Turkish companies were estimated to
be operating in northern Iraq, employing around 14,000 Turks. Most foreign
companies employ foreigners.
When you look more and more into this economic gain you have to realise that it
is so hypocritical in that Turkey will never identify Kurdistan They would not
allow for instance a Kurdish Airline that was registered in say Erbil to operate
to Istanbul but if that same airline had a different name and was registered in
Baghdad it would not be a problem.
The Turks however can operate to Kurdistan. The Turks can venture into Kurdistan
Territory anytime and carry out attacks both by air and by land. They can
establish a full time base in Sirsenk which is in the North West part of
Kurdistan and America just turns a blind eye.
