Will Turkey Milk the US for More Money Over the PKK Issue Again?

The Turkish military establishment who are the real government in that country regardless of who will make it to the phoney parliament of that nation are brilliant in the art of extortion and blackmail. For decades, the Turkish generals freeloaded off the US and other western NATO countries because of their important geographical location next to the old Soviet Union. With the ending of the cold war, the generals needed to be more innovative in creating situations that would enable them to keep the flow of cash from the west to Turkey going, but Turkey not having a real enemy, creating one was dire to the Turkish generals’ plight. Therefore, aside from the usual Kurdish Turkish conflict, the generals of Turkey created their own secret groups. These groups when needed would carry out attaches against people to make the situation seem as Turkey being attacked by terrorists, and the Turks are in real danger.  With this hoax, the Turkish military domestically keeps their own people in a state of fear and internationally can extort funds from their old friends in NATO. Of course, with complete control over the media and every other aspect in Turkish society, the task has been very easy for the Turkish generals to accomplish. Even when the Turkish generals “goof off” and cut red handed, orchestrating these games, the west for some reasons pretend it did not happened and look the other way.

This latest incident with PKK is no exception either, Turkish general had seceded very brilliantly to “stick it” to the US and the rest of world again by creating a phoney situation. The most important help the Turkish generals got was the varying of opinion that developed between the congress and the president in the US over the Armenian genocide issue. While people saw president of the US publicly siding with the Turks and showing the US’s vulnerability to the Turks in terms of US military access to the Turkish military bases, the Turkish generals once again saw a dollar sign dangled in front of them. Within days, the scenario was written and the staged was prepared for another show, and gullible Americans, Brits and other nations just went along and thought they are seeing a real life situation.

In reality Turkey is inside southern Kurdistan for a long time, they have bases there, they have spies there, they have attacked PKK there, even the Kurdish groups such as KDP and PUK at times have attached PKK with them, and so this latest incident that being magnified is nothing new.

I believe the cold war was so long that froze the brains of many people in the west, and they have not realized that the cold war is actually over, and they do not need Turkey that desperately anymore. The west cannot realize that they do not need so willingly to play along with the Turkish masquerade that is only created to milk more money out of the west. This show only makes the Turkish generals stronger domestically, and makes them relevant in international politics while they should have been obsolete by now because Turkey is one of the few fascist states remaining in the world, the only fascist state that has enjoyed unconditional love and support of the so-called western democratic nations.

To solve the situation permanently, the western leaders should tell the Turkish military to come out of the middle Ages mentality and implement the minimum minority right standards that has been prescribed by the UN, and there will not be a need for an armed conflict anymore in Turkey and Kurdistan.
