| The Corruption that we
Kurds face from our Leaders

Hope is never easy for Kurds to gain. We have been fighting for centuries
amongst our enemies for some sort of freedom and control over our lives
and land and now that we have tasted a little bit of it, we are fighting
amongst our selves.
We saw bloodshed between the PKK, PUK and KDP in the 90’s but now it is a
lot more subtle. The little power that the Kurds have know is being
filthily contested for, with out any regards to the lives of the Kurdish
martyrs or poor families living in the dumps by some greedy politicians.
The corruption that is so ramped amongst the top KDP and PUK leader is
very disconcerting, traitors getting millions of dollars for killing
thousands of Kurds and long living Kurds who sacrificed everything for the
Kurdish cause are slapped around by top officials and laughed at like dogs
mocking there life long struggle by some corrupt so called “democratic
politicians”.
While the politicians live in castles, the families that where thrown out
by Saddam, families who lost their bread winner, and the families who gave
numerous martyrs, live under constant threat of loosing the little that
they got, so some elite traitor can build another complex on the land that
their family died for.
The fact is that these corrupt politicians go around, use, and steal the
money that should be used to better the lives of all Kurds not into their
filthy pockets. As a Kurdish youth I am not only ashamed but also
horrified and disgusted at what I see and hear, my father did not fight
for 45 years so some ignorant corrupt politician who has never believed in
the Kurdish cause nor done anything to further it take the assets of my
Kurdish compatriots.
I do believe in an independent Kurdistan and will die for it happily,
however I know that the constitution does not give the Kurds all that they
desire want and need because of the Americans and Arabs, but also those
who fought for those rights where lenient so that they can stay in power.
I believe we Kurds deserve better. We need some one who will fight for
our god given rights and lives on the political battlefield, instead of
his or her own. We have not gone through hell and come out for no reason.
These parties and regime who use their power in such a corrupt manner and
with no regards for Kurdistan and the Kurds should be ousted soon, for I
have no intention of letting this go on for another thirty years, until we
finally realize there unquestionable undemocratic policies and actions
towards the Kurds and Kurdistan. |
