Working towards progress and better relations with United Nations and
states permanent representations to UN & NGOs in Geneva on 16 January
2002 at 10.00am his Excellency Ambassador Kevin Moley United States Ambassador
to United Nations in Geneva has received formally for the first time Kurdistan
regional government permanent representative to the United Nations Mr.
Dindar Zibari in United States Embassy in Geneva. The meeting focused on
unilateral relations between the United States of America and Kurdish administration
mission in Geneva as well as US support to Iraqi Kurdish cause in United
Nations and Non governmental organisations.
Kurdish government representative affirmed what Kurds in Iraq demand
is their right to live in justice and freedom like any other nation of
this world. In response United States Ambassador Kevin Moley emphasized
the right of the Kurds to participate in international arena and gatherings
that no body can stand against this right that has been recognised by all
United Nations treaties and conventions. His Excellency Ambassador confirmed
United States full support to the justifiable case of Iraqi Kurds to live
in peace and stability and also America would support Kurdish imitative
within UN to clarify better their well-founded demands so for that they
can count on the US support. In this meeting Ms. Cheryl Sim United States
political counsellor to United Nations and international organisations
in Geneva also attended.
