Making statements to our newspaper Ozgur Politika, DYP Trabzon Deputy Ali Naci Tuncer and Denizli Deputy Mustafa Kemal Aykurt admitted that education in one's mother tongue was the most natural right of Kurds, pointing to the necessity that obstructions to be lifted by laws.

Ali Naci Tuncer said the following: "I support the education in Kurdish. It is in the right of our Kurdish brothers. In schools the original Kurdish should be taught, not the degenerated one. The degenerated Kurdish would not have any usefulness." Drawing attention that Kurds are not a minority, Tuncer had to say the following: "Kurds are citizens of our country. They are mosaics of our society. In order to make this mosaic more developed, foundations and associations should be established."

"Nobody can obstruct the river"

On the other hand, DYP Denizli Deputy Mustafa Kemal Aykurt emphasized that Turkey should respect to human rights and freedoms. Stating that education in Kurdish was harmless enough, Aykurt continued to say that he would consider it positive in case that drafts on the Kurdish education were discussed in the Parliament. The Deputy said with words to the effect: "Education in one's mother tongue is a very deep subject. It is normal that everybody should use their own culture and language. Rising values in the world are human rights and freedoms. Turkey cannot stay outside it. In fact Turkey should make something as far as accession to the European Union is concerned. We cannot neglect human rights depending on some accusations and suspicions. Nobody can obstruct the river of human rights and freedoms."
