KONGRA-GEL leader Ask Massoud Barzani For Support

KONGRA-GEL [People's Congress of Kurdistan] leader Zubeyir Aydar has issued a statement congratulating Barzani For his new post as elected President of the Southern Kurdistan, reported the the Kurdish TV Roj in Turkish language yesterday.

In his message, Aydar expressed the hope that the federation in Southern Kurdistan will turn into a gain for all the Kurdish people.

Aydar stressed that unless the Kurdish problem is resolved as a whole, the gains in the south may be jeopardized. He called on Barzani to support the struggle in Northern Kurdistan.

The KONGRA-GEL leader also stressed that all the Kurds are facing the urgent need for unity around a common strategy. With that in mind, he said, I propose to hold a national conference that will include all Kurdish organizations, institutions, and personalities. He added: We expect Mr. Barzani to respond to our call positively.
