Nechirvan Barzani Says Security Forces Arrest Terrorists in Arbil

Nechirvan Barzani, the head of the KDP-led Kurdistan government, said that Kurdish security forces arrested a large number of terrorists, pledging to execute them if the court issued death sentences against them.

In a press conference in Arbil aired by Kurdistan TV, Barzani said the arrested people are belong to two big networks. He added that the first group committed very ugly crimes that could not be shown on television screens.  He promised to show the second group on television for the people to see.

 Barzani added that the geographical nature of Arbil and its proximity to Kirkuk and Mosul facilitated the entry of those elements to the area.

Mr. Barzani did not reveal the nationality or number of the arrested people, who he said had committed incomprehensible crimes, stressing that they would be executed if the court ruled so.
