US consul welcomes Kurdish
parliament session in meeting with Kirkuk governor

The Kirkuk governor, Abd-al-Rahman Mustafa, met
the US consul in Kirkuk at the governorate office yesterday.
US Consul in Kirkuk Anne Bodine said that \"the
session of the Kurdistan parliament was considered as an important step and will
affect the situation in Kirkuk, particularly in the Kirkuk Governorate Council.
It might become a foundation for the formation of the governorate council.\"
The Kirkuk governor expressed the hope that the
meeting of the Kurdistan parliament would accelerate the formation of the Kirkuk
Governorate Council and the normalization of the situation in the city.
They also discussed the needs regarding the
development of public services projects in the city.
