French FM Bernard Kouchner called on Turkey
Saturday to hold off from a military
incursion into Southern Kurdistan. "I warn them not to cross the border... I
want to avoid a destabilization inside a destabilized country," Kouchner,
told reporters in Istanbul. Kouchner warned that an incursion "will blow up
the whole area inside Turkey and inside Iraq", adding: "This is very
risky... a little incident can start
everything."

Turkish soldiers captured by PKK on October 21 are expected to be released
Sunday. The soldiers would be handed over to Kurdish MPs in Northern
Kurdistan at an undisclosed location, reported the French news agency, AFP
today.
