Within the framework of his shuttle visits to Kurdistan, the well-known Kurdish
politician, Mukarram Talabani, who resides in Baghdad, arrived in the city of
Al-Sulaymaniyah early this month where he met Talabani; and he met Barzani in Pirmam yesterday.

It is worth noting that Mukarram Talabani is a well-known Iraqi politician, who
occasionally meets the head and high-ranking officials of the Iraqi regime. So
far, he has undertaken the mission of mediating between the Iraqi regime and the Kurdish leaders several times. The visit this time comes amid difficult crisis
experienced by the Iraqi regime - a strike against and the overthrow of which is
expected now more than ever. It is for this reason that observers believe that
Mukarram Talabani's visit, this time and in the current circumstances, could be
related to expected changes.
