Question

(The Kurdistan Observer) Feb 13, 2002.The president of the Kurdistan
Democratic Party (KDP), Massoud Barzani has stated that the actual solution
for the Kurdish people and their rights is that of the federal formula, Arabic
News last Monday

"We do hope to reach with the central government in Baghdad to an agreement for a federal solution to the Kurdish question."  In an interview with the Lebanese daily al-Mustaqbal issued on Sunday, Barzani said: "those who accuse us of working to found an independent  state have other undeclared intentions," noting that he has not found any change or progress in the position of the Iraqi government towards the Kurdish question.

On the scenario of change the regime in Baghdad, Barazani said that the important thing to know is what the alternative will be.
