*Turkish Security Forces Murder Two Citizens of Southern Kurdistan.

(Kurdistan Observer) May 17, 2002 Turkish security forces killed two citizens of Southern Kurdistan, wounded three, and arrested 47 people in separate incidents at the border area near Kani Masi,  reported the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) daily Birayeti last Thursday.

The paper said that the detainees who were handed over to the Kurdish 
authorities at the Khabour border gate claimed that they were tortured and they were given hair cuts by the Turkish forces while they were detained at one of the Turkish army bases.
