reacted Bild harshly: APOLOGIZE!

Kurdistanis
reacted to the news by Germannewspaper Bild including KADEK President
Abdullah Ocalan to a list of "the worlds's most famous 7 prisoners"
depicted as "terrorists, butchers, criminals of genocide, war criminals and
dictators".
Bild claimed that Manuel Noriega, Mehmet Ali Agca, Christian Klar, Charles
Manson, Slobodan Milosevich and Illich Ramirez Sanchez as well as Abdullah
Ocalan "did not have any opportunity to be released due to their
sentences". "Now they serve their sentences in isolation in order to
protect the humanity" said Bild.
The news was reacted to harshly by Kurdistanis living in European countries as
well as Kurdistan. Protesting by telephone, fax and e-mail, Kurdistanis
emphasized that such an attack against a leader as KADEK President Abdullah
Ocalan who was identified with a nation of 40 millions was unacceptable. Kurds
stated that nobody could hurt the most basic sensitivities of the Kurdish people
carelessly, asking for Bild to apologize to Abdullah Ocalan and the Kurdish
people. Protestors also drew attention that the attack was the continuation of
the international conspiracy against the Kurdish people.
Hurriyet launched an attack the same day
Kurdistanis reminded that in Hurriyet newspaper there was also similar news the
same day, pointing to a campaign against Ocalan and the Kurdish people from a
certain center. Hurriyet commented the other day that State Security Court had
begun an investigation on Ocalan and execution of Ocalan might have been brought
into the agenda in case that State of Emergency Rule (OHAL) had been considered
in an "immediate war" risk.
The same newspaper also published the statement by MHP (a fascist party) leader
Devlet Bahceli saying "Now I state sincerely, if I was in majority in the
parliament, I would execute him unhesitatingly."
